Too stretchy and not durable
These pants are NOT "incredibly durable" as the description says. I should have been clued in by the fact that they were also described as soft. "Soft" and "durable" do not go together. Not too long after I bought them, the fabric started to pill wherever there was friction (e.g., in the crotch, on the side where my satchel rubs). Then much too soon, the fabric in the crotch wore through. The fabric quality of many of L.L. Bean's pants seems to have gone way down hill in recent years. I wish they would prioritize durability again.
The pants are also way too stretchy. They're so stretchy it's hard to open the side pockets because the fabric stretches when you pull the pocket snap.

Great 98% cotton pant
They are great all around. I wish they were organic cotton. These are a light weight summer pant. I'd like a more heavy autumn and spring option too. I also wish very very very much that they came in low rise. I have a short torso, so mid rise on me covers my belly button. Very uncomfortable on my waist. I love LL Bean. They are my American version of House of Bruar.

The pants are reasonably well made and I like the fabric, which washes well. My two less positive observations are that the little cargo pockets don't stay closed neatly and that the size 8 that I ordered - my size for years - now fits like at least a 10. This seems to be a pretty much industry-wide; size 8s that I've had for a few years still fit perfectly. That having been said, the pants will be useful.

Not My Size
I'm sorry to say that I returned the canvas pants. While they do have nice details, I just couldn't get the right size. (They're also too fancy for hiking/dirty work.) I tried a size 10 - too tight, then I tried a 12 -too big. I decided to get the green stretch jeans instead. They're always right.

Nice pants, just not best for my figure
These were nice pants but just didn't flatter *my body, which is why only 4 stars. I returned them, but found a couple other pants that I preferred: The Signature Cotton Utility High Rise Wide Leg pants, and the Lakewashed mid-rise Chinos

Wanted to love these but the sizing is off
I love this fabric and cut…except the waist did not feel true to size (especially since everything else I ordered in the same size fit similarly). Unfortunately for this pant, there’s a noticeable sizing gap when you jump from Regular to Plus sizing and neither would fit. I would have otherwise bought 3 pairs.

Great cords
These cords perfectly fulfilled my search for a pair that would bring me back to my favorite childhood pair. Love the sage color, the fit in the waist and seat, and the quality. Just wish they were a little more tapered but they fit perfectly over short boots.
