Comfortable material and lightweight
I bought this earlier in a large but it fit too small for me so I ordered the XL. It is a very soft and comfortable cardigan. The cotton material is light, so it is perfect for warmer weather.

A nice lightweight layer.
I wear petites but this didn't come in petite and I bought it anyway. of course the sleeves are too long. I am simply turning them back as a "make do" but it detracts from the overall look. Otherwise, it is fine, lightweight and attractive.

Wardrobe staple
I have purchased these with matching tees and turtlenecks for several years. They wash well and wrinkles can be avoided by removing from the dryer while damp and hanging to finish drying. I am VERY sad to see the open cardigan being discontinued. It is the perfect weight/warmth for my office job 3/4 of the year. It is long enough and full enough to gracefully and loosely cover my plus-size figure. Without the open cardigan on which to base outfits, I will buy fewer tees and turtlenecks from LLB.

My favorite sweater
I really enjoy this sweater. While cotton, it is warm enough for typical Atlanta winter weather, and it dresses up and down, with a lovely drape, long enough to minimize hips, but it doesn't swallow me (I'm 5'3").

Sad discontinued
So sad. Left my black cardigan at a house, and may not get it back. Now I can't reorder it because it's being discontinued. LL Bean why have you increasingly discontinued great styles?

Why is this discontinued?
I love the pima open cardigan and have purchased several over the years (in a plus size) with the short sleeved crew tee and turtleneck in matching colors. I wear these outfits to the office frequently. I am VERY unhappy to see that the open cardigan has been discontinued. The product it's been replaced with is a shorter, form-fitting cardigan with buttons. A totally different style. Why couldn't LLB just add that new product for people who have the right figure type to wear it (young and skinny), and not discontinue the open cardigan which is longer, looser and looks better on larger or more mature women? Without the open cardigans for sale in the same or new colors, I can't buy them and also will have no reason to buy the crew neck tees or the turtlenecks no matter how pretty the colors are. You just lost a customer.
