Flannel Liner Fails Quickly
I began wearing these flannel-lined moccasin-style slippers in early August 2025. I wear them as indoor shoes, with socks only, on flooring that is mostly hardwood with area rugs. I’m semi-retired and work from home, so have them on my feet 8 – 12 hours per day. The slippers look great, and appear to be well made. The flexibility and finish of the leather upper is great. The flexible crepe rubber outsoles are non-slip on hardwood and tile, which is great. I typically wear size 9 to 9.5 wide shoes. I purchased 9 Wide-EE, as I have with other LL Bean shoes. The size 9 length was fine. Width was snug. Toe box was very snug.
The not-so-good part is the moccasin’s inside. I like the “flannel” fabric (does not feel like actual flannel) and cushioning below the fabric. I wore these from August through the winter without my feet being hot or cold. The problem is that the “flannel” is not durable. After 2 or 3 months it was apparent the flannel was thinning under my heel and big toe. By 6 months the flannel was gone at these locations, and thinning in all other areas where the bottom of my foot contacts the flannel. For reference, I weight 160 lbs., so it’s not like the fabric is having to withstand extra heavy wear-and-tear. By 9 months 2 layers of cushioning below the flannel were gone below the ball of my foot.
Summary: I love the overall design and construction of these slipper/moccasins. The leather upper and crepe sole are great. For my foot, they could be wider, especially the toe box. The feel of the inside of the slipper is great when new, but isn’t durable enough to last a full year. I would definitely purchase again, probably a size larger, if the flannel was replaced with a fabric able to withstand normal slipper use.

Very Stable Even with Arch Supports
Very comfortable and stable. I normally wear an 11 1/2 and these only come in full sizes now. I went with an 11 and it fits perfectly even with arch supports. My foot is narrow and there is plently of room in the toe box. These fit so well that I could wear them outdoors without any problems.

No half sizes. Pricey. Good quality.
The shoe appears to be well made but only time will tell. I wear them as slippers and they are fairly comfortable. However they are a little loose. I wear a size 9 1/2 tennis shoe and this shoe is a size 10. Unfortunately there are no half sizes. The other issue is that these slippers are quite expensive at over $70.

Great Men's Slippers
I purchased these slippers to replace a very old pair of the same slippers. I wasn't sure of the correct size and they were too large so I had to return them. I plan to purchase the same slippers in the correct size and I am sure he will love them as much as he has enjoyed wearing the old pair.
