Our designers took our customer-favorite all-weather boots and made them better than ever before. They added a supremely cushioned B-Bound® midsole for more comfort, and a luggier VertiGrip outsole for improved traction. What hasn't changed is the tough-as-nails durability our Storm Chasers are known for.

Zipper broke after less than 2 years of wear
I purchased my second pair of these boots after the zipper broke on my first pair. These boots are warm, comfortable, and have great traction for icy conditions. Unfortunately, because this is the second time that the zipper has broken on a pair of these in less than 2 years of wear, I will no longer be purchasing them and will try a different brand for my boots. I've always purchased LL Bean boots but can no longer justify the cost for the quality.

Not the most comfortable
I like that they are easy to don when my three labradors are anxious for me to change into my walking shoes. I have worn them twice now, and they are uncomfortable in the front where they hit my shin. There’s not enough “give” in the ankle area, and I think this is what makes it too stiff in the shin area. It seems it needs to articulate at the ankle better. Maybe they need to be broken in; I’ve only walked a few miles in them. They are waterproof going through puddles of melted snow and warm enough that you won’t get frostbite at 30-40 degrees, but not exactly toasty.

What happened to the warm light boots from Bean?
It’s very heavy and the bottom of my feet hurts when I wear them. Also, it can be a little slippery. Bottom line, it would be a decent boots if it wasn’t for the weight that they carry. Over the years Bean used to carry warm lightweight winter boots, I don’t know what happened.
