Granddaughter's New Coat
My granddaughter absolutely loved it. It came just in time for the cold weather heading into North Texas this week. On Christmas it's supposed to be 75° here, so I gave it to her early so she would have something to keep her warm in the meantime. Great coat, lightweight and easy to pack.

Not as warm as previous versions of this jacket!
I agree with the reviewer who said that this year's jackets are less warm that previous years' jackets. I'd bought this jacket last year for my daugthers, and loved it. I was looking for a new jacket for them this year, but given the limited color choices in this style, I was considering buying a different brand. However, ultimately I went with this jacket because of how happy we were with the one we bought last year. And so when I received the jackets, I was SO disappointed. This year's jackets are much thinner than last year's. Even though it says it's 650-fill down, it seems like the fill weight is much less than last year (i.e., less down used overall). Perhaps the fill ratio (down to feathers) is also less. I'm so disappointed, and will be returning these jackets. I wish LL Bean didn't cut corners with this very popular style.

Disappointed
We have owned this coat in seasons past. I ordered a new coats for this year and the amount of fill was significantly less. The jackets was so thin! I’m also puzzled by the price. I paid the online price of $170.00 but the tag on the jackets was $150.00. I returned the two I ordered and now I’m on the hunt for a replacement. I hope LL Bean will bring back the quality coats from years past.
