Our founder, L.L., first introduced genuine handsewn mocs 100 years ago in 1926, and we've made them better than ever before. We added a more flexible insole and upgraded the foam underfoot for immediate comfort right out of the box. A new leather sock liner molds to your foot over time for custom comfort and a barefoot feel. And new, high-quality leathers that start out comfy and get better the more you wear them.

Not better, not worse, but a good change!
Bought this new version of the iconic camp moc to wear this summer - my old pair is great in cooler weather with thick socks, but I needed to get a pair a half size down to wear sockless/with thin socks. This new pair is definitely different from the last iteration: the exterior leather is softer and more textured (pebbly) than the old version, and the insole is leather, not fabric. I like the appearance of the new exterior, and anticipate that it will stretch/mold to my foot faster given its softness. I don't like this version any better or worse than the old version - I love both, and the LL Bean quality remains. Overall, I'm very pleased. (Minor) change can be refreshing, even for a classic. LL Bean, please keep camp mocs around!

Great shoes!

They have the look!
Comfortable. I'm glad I got the EE wide and a size 13. It gives me a little extra room for getting them on. My usual size is a tight 12. Well made leather and when they begin to wear, they will 'have the look.'
