Great out of the Box
I bought these for a 2 week trip to Europe. I did more “city” hiking than trail hiking. These were great right out of the box. Very little breaking in was needed and my feet did not suffer any because I did not wear them a lot prior to leaving on my trip. I will be doing some trail hiking later in the summer and fall and know they will meet my expectations.

Sturdy shoes
I bought these as a gift for my sister because she wanted something to hike in and because I have a couple of pairs of these shoes. I love them and will continue to buy them as long as they are available and of this quality. I did have to order a size up to accommodate my wide feet (they aren't available in a wide width as I recall), but I've had no issues with fit. I maintain a lot of wooded acreage and these are perfect for heavy duty outdoor activity. I can highly recommend.

Very comfortable, sturdy without being too heavy
After having a hip replacement, I needed a sturdy and comfortable pair of shoes. I found them at L.L. Bean! Not only are they stylish looking, but they are perfect for working in the yard, going shopping, or going for walks. I highly recommend this sneaker.

Well padded
They are solid shoes and great padding. They are bit squishy. I don’t always feel grounded in them especially in the woods on uneven ground.
