Incredible reliability
I bought a pair of these in 2012, so I'm not saying that this review is relevant for the current iteration of this boot as manufactured today, but if they haven't changed their process, then this may be the best boot in the world.
I've taken these on field research to Hawaii and walked on razor sharp lava rock. I've also taken them to Iceland and walked on lava rock in the snow. They were my go to snow boot in Wisconsin and Colorado. I've hiked countless miles on them all across the country. I've used them as work boots. I've taken them to the beach (not great planning, there). I've pretty much kick the snot out of them, and they are still fantastic. I did have to replace the laces and insoles, but the boots themselves are still going strong. I don't even understand how the adhesive hasn't given way yet. Still waterproof!
I get that these are expensive, but by only buying these boots I have spent $250 on hiking boots in the last 14 years - that's $18 a year. I'm totally fine with that.

Great boots
I got my first pair in 1978 and wore them for 30 years. So when I needed a second pair, I got the same. Fit me like a glove out of the box

Best of the best
I saw a pair of these in Backpacker Magizne over 30 yeaars ago so I ordedred a pair. I still have them and they are still in great shape although theye've had a bit of wear.

I have been buying these boot for over ten to fifteen years, but the set I just received ( even though they say they are the same) are not the same. They feel cheap and very comfortable. I noticed they are being made in a different country now, which might explain this.

Zero stars
Since the change of manufacturer, the quality of the boot has suffered dramatically, certainly not worth the price. I would not recommend this boot to anybody who is planning on using it more than three or four times a year.
