Our sweater is crafted from 100% premium lambswool yarns that are richly textured and noticeably softer than competitors' versions. In fact, it's practically impossible to find other ragg sweaters made without using lesser wool-blend yarns. Each of our ragg wool sweaters is designed stitch by stitch with time-honored styling and details.

A classic, still the standard in a wool sweater
I’ve long wanted one of these sweaters and somehow all these years, didn’t realize it was an LL Bean. I assumed it was a common pattern so I went looking for one and then discovered it’s an LL Bean original and classic.
Why did I wait so long?! It’s the perfect wool sweater, warm but not too much for inside, hefty but comfortable, beautiful shade of blue but mixes well with jeans, khakis, black, green.
I’m surprised how many compliments I’ve gotten on it from young people who look quite hip! It’s my “cool dad” sweater, I guess, ha.
This sweater may last longer than me despite my good health!
Just a bit of a generous cut, so if between sizes, size down.

Amazingly warm sweater
I have bought several of these wool sweaters, and they are amazingly warm and comfortable. During the fall and winter, whenever I have to do anything outside, I wear my ragg wool sweater and I am warm enough to be comfortable, even when I am gathering firewood for the wood stove and it is 5F or colder outside. Highly recommended.
