Why We Love Them
Designed by L.L. himself in 1912 as the original antidote to wet feet. While many duck boots on the market might look similar to L.L.Bean Boots, they lack the craftsmanship and the premium-quality materials that have allowed ours to stand the test of time. And since they’re as rugged and hardworking as they were over 100 years ago, chances are you’ll only ever need one pair.
- Made from premium full-grain leather that sheds rain and snow.
- Triple stitched in Maine, one pair at a time.
- Supportive steel shank and our original rubber chain-tread bottom.
- Treated with the water-resistant protection you need in cold, wet weather.
- Our signature boots are still sewn right here in Maine and have stood the test of time.
- Built using an innovative design that’s been proven for over 100 years.
- Classic style worn and celebrated by people around the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dlpa1922 from Perfect! I have had my boots since summer and am just now getting to wear them a lot and absolutely love them!! I wear a women's size 10 and ordered a 9 and they fit perfectly I can wear them with boot socks (semi thick) and they are perfect but I also bought bean boot socks (very very thick) for women and they keep my feet super warm and are perfect. I highly recommend these boots. I am a college student and walk to class and when it rains or snows they are warm and super comfortable and keep my feet dry! I have a hard time finding boots that don't rub blisters and these literally took one day around the house to break in and I've loved them ever since. Buy them!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SouthernMainer27 from Bean boots are great, but buy them in store! I have owned my Bean boots for two years, and I love them! I wear them as my rain boots, and as my snow boots (but with thick wool socks). They have kept my feet dry and warm, and they still look brand new! I will say that I do not own a pair of women's boots, I own a pair of children's boots. I bought mine in store, and the wonderful sales associate asked for my shoe size (women's 9), brought out a pair of children's boots, and told me to try them on. They fit great! So, my big recommendation: try them on in store if you can, because you might end up with a different product (that could save you some cash!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Beautiful Boots These boots are perfect! They are casual enough for leggings and a tshirt, but can easily be dressed up! I got the blue rubber and it's really pretty. I wear these a lot in the woods and they are very water-proof, as I have worn them in a creek. Sometimes, the rubber gets scratched and gets yellowish marks on it, but I use my Hunter boot buffer on the rubber, and it really takes away the marks and makes them shine. I've never worn them in the snow, but they seem like they would be warm with thick socks. I normally wear a size 7 or 7.5 and I got these in a 7. They are a bit big, even with thick socks, but not enough to be uncomfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Reba27948 from There's a reason why they are in demand! My fiance took me to Freeport and bought me my very first pair back in the fall. At first, I had a hard time breaking in the leather uppers, but after about two weeks that was a thing of the past! These are hands down one of the most comfortable pieces of footwear I have EVER owned. I frequently wear them on 8 hour shifts (standing) and feet don't hurt at all. I have sloshed through huge puddles and snow and they do what they promise....keep the yucky stuff out! I am thinking about getting a different color, but of course right now they are hard to get; and with good reason! You don't get this kind of quality anywhere else!

Rated 5 out of 5 by tlynnb from I'm impressed! I am so thrilled I ordered these boots. I did have to wait over a month to get them but I was made aware straight away they were on backorder and they actually arrived ahead of the anticipated delivery date. I read countless reviews and followed the sizing recommendations and ordered down though I was a bit nervous to do so. I am a size 8.5 or 9 and ordered a size 8. When they arrived I held my breath half expecting my foot wouldn't go in the boot but thankfully I had no problems and they fit perfectly. They are so well made and expect I will be wearing these for years to come. I am so impressed with this boot and wish it didn't take me so long to order a pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by canadianwetfeet from Ladies with wider feet/calves First time order from Canada. So pleased with product and service-just excellent! I have a wider foot and calves so I was unsure of sizes. Here is what I found: my feet measure 9 inches long and at their widest points across 3 7/8 inches. My ankle/low calve is about 10 inches around. I wear a size nine in other shoes. A size 8 WIDE are very comfortable. The measurements of the outside of the boot itself are:10 1/4 long and 4 inches across, and the ankle area opens to app. 14 inches max depending on lacing. Bear in mind the footbed inside will be a touch smaller. What great phone service as well if you have any questions. Don't hesitate to order: all you Vancouverites with damp feet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by muddypaws from Perfect Portland Boot I go through a lot of boots since it rains here about 9 months out of the year plus constant wear n tear. I decided to go for the bean boots since I knew they would hold up and keep my feet dry. So far I love them! I normally wear 10s so I bought 9s, they are a smidge big still but not enough to bug me when I wear normal socks. I don't lace the laces up tight and they stay on well- don't slip in the heal at all. They are great when its wet and muddy! So glad I wore them to the dog park yesterday or I would have been a sandy/muddy/wet mess. so if your in the PNW you need these! plus they look so much better then rubber boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mandalaine from Classic quality I was honestly very scared that I would size wrong when ordering but I followed the guidelines and sized down from my normal 10 to a 9 and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable with a thin sock but there is room for thicker socks as temperatures drop. The leather is a bit stiff out of the box but the quality of the leather and the excellent craftsmanship make me believe they will age well. I see many seasons of unpredictable Canadian weather ahead for these boots. I'm glad to find a boot that shows pride in quality but is still classic. If all LLBean products follow this standard I will be ordering again and again.
