To achieve this superior pill-resistant flannel fabric for the solid color sheet set, we developed an exclusive process that carefully removes fibers from the surface to create a velvety smooth finish.

I rated these 4 rather than 5 because they do pill after washing and drying, possibly due to our hard water. This has been the case with any flannel sheets I've used over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best sheets ever LLBean's flannel sheets (and I've had more than I can count) are the best things I've ever slept on. I use them year round. They're soft and comfortable. Their deep pockets allow them to stay on all beds nicely. They're expensive, but last a long time. They come in a wide range of colors and patterns. I can't say enough about these wonderful sheets.
