Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket, not great I've have another version of this jacket that is about 20 years old and would still be wearing only that one except that it needs a new zipper now. This newer version has some things that I like, like the detachable hood and outdoor chest pocket, that the old one didn't. The old one had a second set of outside pockets above the lower ones that this one has, this jacket would be better with those. Also, maybe it will wear in after a while, I have only had it a couple of weeks, but the outside fabric is stiffer than the old one, and kind of crinkly. The newer version has a lower inside pouch on the right side, and an upper one on that side too, with what I assume is a micro-fiber cloth to use for clearing glasses and goggles, those are a nice touch. I don't love the inner cuffs that can move around inside the lower arms, that's a negative new feature to me. Warmth has been quite adequate in the last couple of weeks, ranging from the single digits to mid-30s, with occasional wind chills below 0. If it holds up well past the warranty (a year now?), it will be a decent value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Parka This jacket is as described in being very warm without bulk. It is extremely windproof. I spent several cold, windy days in Yellowstone National Park in February and this jacket was excellent. It is going to replace two older winter jackets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and plenty of pocket storage. Warm and very wind proof. Large inside pockets are great for gloves and hats. I have not experienced the zipper issues others have noted in other reviews.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket with one problem I've had the jacket for more than a year, and I'm very happy with the fit, warmth, and appearance. The one flaw is that the plastic waist adjustment clips inside the jacket rub against the mid-stomach area and damage wool and cotton sweaters. I couldn't figure out what was causing the fuzzy pilling on those garments in exactly the same area until recently. I'll try wrapping the clips in padded material to remedy the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected gift My daughter surprised me with this jacket. In NJ we've had many days with temperatures down to zero. The windchills are nothing I've ever experienced even after several years living in New England. Do I ever love this jacket! It is perfect for the weather we are experiencing. If I was younger I'd use it to do snow angels!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Rugged Ridge Parka is well made and warm. I purchased this Men's Rugged Ridge Parka early last month and is well made, water proof and warm. I find it to be a good parka for the cold New England winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter coat With below zero degrees F wind chills for over two weeks, this coat does the job splendidly. The hood comfortably cinches around my head. Great work!
