Warm Coat
This is my second coat like this. It kept me warm even in the single digits and in all the snow and freezing rain I have gotten compliments on how nice it looks. I also like the various pockets especially the one on the inside of the coat.

New Colors please from
Warm for years
I have had my rugged ridge parka literally for decades, and it is still super warm and waterproof. Unless they have fixed this, you do have to be careful with the zipper, which can be finicky. I am waiting hopefully for the colors to be changed. The same colors have been offered for the past several years and I do not like them. I need a new coat, but not in those colors. Hopefully the quality is still as fantastic as it was when I purchased this years ago. I would also like L.L. Bean to include more reflective material for safety.

Stiff and uncomfortable
There is a lot to love about this parka. As advertised, it is windproof and rain proof and good in cold temperatures. I absolutely LOVE the colors.
However. It is stiff, noisy, and uncomfortable. It was 15 degrees today and I reached for a sweater and opted to freeze rather than put on this jacket. Further, the elastic cord at the bottom is insufficient to keep cold drafts out.
With regrets, I am returning this jacket.
PS: It has those miserable velcro flaps on the closure (I despise them, they catch on everything, please stop doing this!). I would happily pay more for a jacket without velcro.

Love this Parka
This is the second time I’ve purchased this Parka. I live in Michigan and it gets very cold here. The parka keeps me warm even when I am out snowblowing or just out in bad weather. The hood is convenient and keep me so warm, there are times when I’m too warm with it up. My last parka is about 10 years old and it finally ran out of waterproofing. I tried to re-waterproof it but it didn’t work. But I got good use out of it and It still looks new so I can wear it but just not in falling snow or water. I also love all the zipper pockets that will keep my phone and keys secure. I highly recommend this parka.

Fits my needs perfectly
This coat is exactly what I was looking for. It replaces an old (maybe 15 years old) LLBean jacket. Perfect for my needs and perfect accessory pockets. Even a cloth for cleaning eyeglasses!!🤓

Great coat but VERY NARROW ARMS
This is my second Rugged Ridge Parka. The last one survived 17 years. I love this new one EXCEPT the arms are EXTREMELY NARROW. I can't fit a sweatshirt or a bulky sweater, only a thin sweater and thin turtleneck. My arms are not that big. Even the forearms on the coat are too narrow. I've never had this problem on a coat and am wondering if something went wrong with this one. The arms are much narrower than my old parka. Those arms are roomy. I'm wearing it (out of necessity) but am not enjoying it at all. (I purchased a 2X, same as my old one. It fits fine otherwise)
