Stiff and uncomfortable
There is a lot to love about this parka. As advertised, it is windproof and rain proof and good in cold temperatures. I absolutely LOVE the colors.
However. It is stiff, noisy, and uncomfortable. It was 15 degrees today and I reached for a sweater and opted to freeze rather than put on this jacket. Further, the elastic cord at the bottom is insufficient to keep cold drafts out.
With regrets, I am returning this jacket.
PS: It has those miserable velcro flaps on the closure (I despise them, they catch on everything, please stop doing this!). I would happily pay more for a jacket without velcro.

Love this Parka
This is the second time I’ve purchased this Parka. I live in Michigan and it gets very cold here. The parka keeps me warm even when I am out snowblowing or just out in bad weather. The hood is convenient and keep me so warm, there are times when I’m too warm with it up. My last parka is about 10 years old and it finally ran out of waterproofing. I tried to re-waterproof it but it didn’t work. But I got good use out of it and It still looks new so I can wear it but just not in falling snow or water. I also love all the zipper pockets that will keep my phone and keys secure. I highly recommend this parka.

Fits my needs perfectly
This coat is exactly what I was looking for. It replaces an old (maybe 15 years old) LLBean jacket. Perfect for my needs and perfect accessory pockets. Even a cloth for cleaning eyeglasses!!🤓

Good All around Parka
This is my second Rugged Ridge Parka. bought one aboutss a year ago and am still wearing it. Wanted a second one for when walking the dogs on not so cold winter days. This parka fits well, true to size. I ordered a Large, Regular so I could later underneath. It is definitely Windproof which is the best way to keep warm. I found wearing it from mid to upper 20’s Into 30’s is best temperature range foe me. But it’s those in between temperatures in the early winter and late fall that I wanted it for. Plenty of pockets and plenty of room to carry stuff. And the hood fits snug if you need it. Basically, it is a good all-around parka.

Warm without bulk
I shopped around a long time before deciding on this jacket, which I use for downhill skiing. After a couple of cold days on the slope, I can say it's warm, hits at just the right hip length, and allows for great freedom of movement. Overall I love it so far. It is true to size. I am normally a large, but at some stores wear medium. I went with my true size Large and it is perfect.

not a downhill ski jacket
I bought this for downhill skiing. The jacket is warm and has just enough pockets. The only downside is skiing in single digits, the hood is too shallow and does not fit over a helmet. When the hood is over the helmet, I am unable to fully zip the jacket.
