pilling is a major problem
I bought four of these and love the look, colors, fit and softness, they are very very comfortable. Unfortunately the ones I wore more than 2-3 times have major pilling on the underside of the sleeve, the sides of the torso, and even the front of the sweaters. They look like they are more than ten years old and are not really fit for public, so now I tend to just wear them at home like an old sweatshirt. For the cost of $130, would expect the quality and longevity to be much higher. I have lower priced cashmere sweaters from other brands that have minimal to no pilling after much more wear.

This was on back order and was worth the wait. It is a light cashmere sweater in the most beautiful shade of saturated mauve - really gorgeous, intense color.

Top shelf cashmere sweater
Soft, warm, light as a feather, well constructed, perfect fit! I own 3 of LL Bean’s classic cashmere sweaters in different colors. Some I have worn for several years. Easy to hand wash, they have maintained their appearance and overall quality.

Fits perfectly!
I questioned if this sweater would fit, but I still bought them in Petite Small. I ordered a black and the pink colors. The pink one is still on back order. I LOVE the fit, softness and the fact I can dress it up or down! I have small shoulders and weigh 110 lbs. I usually have a problem with sleeves being too long and shoulders dropping below my shoulder line. This is the best and the price is great for cashmere.

nice enough but lower quality than before
Nice with some caveats. I've been been looking for a nice brown sweater for ages so I was willing to pay the price for this one and for LL Bean quality. The brown color is rich and very pretty. BUT the cashmere is definitely not as thick as my previous LL Bean cashmere sweaters-- hence, the 4 stars. The ones I bought ages ago are still holding up well and are thicker. Still, if you know what to expect, you won't be surprised. Finally, I'm in my early 50s, 5' tall, about 110lbs and I don't like tight clothes. I ordered a regular M and it's a little loose, but fit how I like.

Super soft, fine weave, delicate
Managed to find this one on sale, so more than worth the discounted price! Very fine weave, will need to treat it gently and carefully. Super soft.
