An L.L.Bean exclusive, our plush flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. I bought these pants about six weeks ago, they are M with 30" inseam, they fit very well, were just the
right size and just the right warmth. Than after a couple of washing they felt like the legs were shorter,
I measured the inseam and it was a 27". I ordered a M with 30" inseam, now I am wearing a M with 27"
inseam. I did not get what I wanted and will not order again.

Comfortable but they shrink
I should know better they are cotton and shrink. They were a perfect fit new but after a couple washings, my 32"inch length is now 30". I did call and ask if I should exchange them but was told they should not shrink. Now I am exchanging them.

Thinner fabric than in the past
Well made, but the flannel fabric is not as heavy a weight as previously purchased. Noticed this with a chamois shirt recently purchased as well. Noticed sure why LLBean is making theses choices, but fear it will hurt them in the long run. Hope the newer fabrics hold up as well as the old ones have.
