This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

Perfect for cool evenings
I purchased the Scotch Plaid Royal Red in Reg Med. I'm 77, 5'3", 115/117 lbs depending on the number of Margaritas, and the girls are a 36D. My shirt fits perfectly, sleeves work with one fold up, and I wear it with a t-shirt, sometimes two, under. I needed something with red, but not too "lumberjack" looking. I am so pleased that I ordered this Royal Red. I like that it has no green in the print. No Xmas in July while fishing off the back deck after dark. I ordered the Reg. Med because I knew I would use the dryer. A small one would have been a better fit, but I wanted room for something under it. Very happy with this one! Out of the package, it was soft and even softer after the first wash. Quality material and workmanship! I looked at all the seams, buttons, and collar. I look for those double seams, and if they back stitch, so no threads come undone. This Scotch Plaid Group is put together correctly.
