A limited-edition version of our classic Field Coat from our special collaboration with singer-songwriter Noah Kahan.. Made of heavy-duty Nor'Easter cotton canvas that feels broken in from the start, yet provides excellent protection against wind and light rain.

Perfect cool weather barn/french chore/field jacket. Love it. Would definitely buy again. Fits true to size with plenty of room to throw a warm sweater or other layer under.

Nice coat. Buttons are not particularly well sown on.
One of the three buttons on the front of the coat came off within a couple months. I had the coat repaired locally for several dollars. I can’t imagine it is that hard to see on buttons that last for years.

Odorized?
Noticeable strong odor, like perfume. Ordered another, same issue. Both are going back to Bean. Unfortunate, as it’s a pretty nice coat. But, if it isn’t clean, then really. It was a birthday gift, so doubly disappointing. On top of the jeans I ordered, and have purchased for years that are still bleeding indigo all over my washer every time I wash them….sheesh, as a long time Bean customer, I’m losing my faith folks. And very tired of wiping my washing machine down.

Sizing big!
Bought for my Noah Kahan loving son (6'3", 200 lbs) who usually wears XL, but was way toooooo big. The Large (men's large/woman's XL) was the perfect oversized look, but sleeves are short. I tried on (5'8") and felt the sleeves were off as well. It's a lighter barn coat (glad we have him his Christmas present early). He rolls the sleeves. Wish we had just ordered the traditional men's LLBean coat for better sizing vs NK branded (but that was the point of buying this coat).

Why put a man’s name on an L.L. Bean coat?
I don’t know who this singer is, and I’ve never heard of him before. No disrespect intended, but to put his name on a label on the front of the coat for everyone to see is kind of silly. I am happy to advertise L.L. Bean, but not some man I’ve never heard of before. Also, I’ve got the same coat from many many years ago. Please bring back the traditional plaid flannel lining. This solid orange color is disruptive and doesn’t match anything in my wardrobe. Is the idea to be able to turn it inside out and swing it around in the air in case of a rescue situation?

Comfortable and Stylish
This jacket feels very lightweight when putting it on, so much so that you can wear it indoors without starting to overheat. It's also perfect for outdoors in the cold and wet weather to shield yourself from the elements. I'm very glad to have bought this before Fall and Winter hit!
