They are very lightweight. I’m not sure what kind of performance they will deliver. The fit is good.

One design improvement would be apprciated.
Very nice, the only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that LLBean's designs for mens' pants would be better if the fly Zippers were about one inch (2-3 cm.) longer.

Great pants but thinner than expected
These pants are exactly what I was looking for. They fit well. However, they are a bit thinner than I remembered them to be.

Lightweight dress pant from
More of a dress pant with a thinner feel but still looked great with a quarter zip.

Ultra-Thin Chinos???
I don't think you can call these slacks "chinos." They are made from the thinnest, lightest material I have ever seen in slacks that claim to be chinos. The material is slick, too, not unlike my. L.L.Bean rain jacket and my L.L.Bean bomber jacket. I guess I should have read the fabric composition more closely before buying. It's 37% nylon, no wonder it feels slick. I'll bet nylon is cheaper than cotton, too, so when the two fabrics are combined to make a new ultra-thin fabric, it keeps down the cost of the finished slacks. These slacks actually look pretty good and fit nicely, but as with so many of L.L.Bean's sweaters, scotch plaid flannel shirts, sweatshirts, and more, the fabric just keeps getting thinner and cheaper-feeling. The write-up also claims that these slacks are "pre-washed for softness." Are you kidding??? These slick-feeling slacks are definitely not "soft." Look, L.L.Bean, I have been buying your high-quality, well-fitting clothes since the 1970s and it saddens me to see the quality of your clothing diminishing here and there, year after year. I know that you want to keep your prices from spiraling out of control, but I for one would be willing to pay more to keep the quality as good as it used to be.
