Cute and Practical-Runs generous
I was looking for a practical lightweight vest for an August trip to Alaska. I'm quite short, so cropped tops are more flattering for me so I was intrigued by this. Unlike many items at LLBean this does run large. It seems like a good vest for autumn and early spring-lighter than down but heavier than just a nylon or fleece vest, but very light/small for packing for travel. I think if you want it to look like it does on the models in the photos you may need to size down. I bought Petite medium and it is very generous, but since I'm planning to wear over heavy sweatshirt and I like casual clothes roomy I will keep. I bought the black since it's my travel color, but perhaps at some point i might buy the green in a Petite Small for a more stylish look. I think it would still be loose, but more flattering fit.

Disappointed in overdone boxy style
I usually wear size S in LL Bean sportswear and this vest still was too boxy round the bottom. I'm 5/7", 132#. Going to XS seemed ridiculous and then the overall length was too short and arm holes too tight. The material is lovely and item is well made; disappointed that styling was a problem for me.

Beautiful color, fun vest
Originally, I almost didn’t keep this because they run big, but it is so lovely. The color is lovely. I have enjoyed this immensely as a lightweight vest to put under a coat or on its own.

Just what I wanted
I could have used this vest for a recent trip where the spring weather veered from the 80's to the 30's. I had been wanting something versatile and packable so started looking after our trip. This vest is perfect, the Shore Sand color is a great neutral, goes with everything! It is warm enough for layering either over or under a jacket, depending on the jacket's fit (I love jean jackets and have both fitted and relaxed styles, it works with them all).
I am glad I read the reviews on fit, it definitely is roomy. I usually take a small, regular, I ordered an XS, regular ... plenty of room for my quarter zips and as I said, over a more fitted jacket. The length is just right too, not too long or too short (hits at the top of my hip bone, like the model).
It will pack down small (rolling helps) and come out looking ready for whatever the in between seasons throw at it. Nice to now have such a versatile piece!
I call it "perfect" and it will see many seasons of wear.

Beautiful light weight vest!
This is a cute light weight vest. The neutral beige colour goes with a lot of my other wardrobe pieces especially the quilted tops and matching slim pants I purchased in the Venture line. Fits perfectly. Bought size small regular. I’m 5’6” and weigh 130ish pounds. It’s not bulky. A casually elegant useful addition to my wardrobe.

Perfect vest for in-between seasons
This is the perfect vest to wear when a jacket or heavier vest are too warm and still need something more than a long sleeve top or sweatshirt. I have several winter weight vests and was looking for something lighter. This vest is just that. Plus, the style is updated and very cute with a somewhat shorter and boxier cut (but not too short). The fabric is soft to touch, and it washes well. I love it and ended up buying another in a different color. Five stars, highly recommended!
