Product Details

This leather cruiser boot is a new take on one of the original variations of the Maine Hunting Shoe® - first offered in our 1917 catalog as a tough-as-nails alternative for "Lumber Cruisers, Guides and Trappers."

  • For this style, we recommend you order a half size down from what you would normally wear. If half sizes are not available, order your regular shoe size.

In 1912, when 90 of his first 100 pairs of boots sold were returned, our founder, L.L., sent out refunds and fixed the problem. We've followed in his footsteps, listening to customers and making improvements while staying true to everything that makes Bean Boots legendary. Best of all, they're still sewn right here in Maine - one pair at a time - by expert craftspeople. Whoever says, "they don't build things like they used to," doesn't own a pair of these.

  • Uniquely shaped foot form offers comfort and stability, and a steel shank adds support.
  • Pebbled full-grain leather upper that only gets better with time.
  • Dual-density insole offers enhanced comfort and cushion.
  • Lace-up design for a secure fit.
  • Iconic chain-tread outsole is now made from an even longer-lasting rubber.
  • Waterproof rubber boot bottom lined with 200 grams of insulation for extra-cozy warmth.
  • Innovative triple-needle stitching provides long-lasting durability.
  • Best for rain, mud, and other wet conditions.
  • Waterproof up to 1 cm below the stiching on the rubber shell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Much too hard to get on The boots are beautiful but because it is a tall boot and the tongue is sewn to the body of the boot all the way to the top, it is very difficult to get the boot on, especially wearing a sock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE These Boots! I purchased these boots a couple of weeks ago. I wore them for a few hours a day just to break them in. They are so comfortable, and I really love how they look! Great for work, and walking the dog when its wet out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Black Bean Boot I have been waiting for a black Bean Boot! I don't have browns in my wardrobe these days, so I handed down my 20+-year-old traditional Bean boots to my daughter. Sizing: I followed the instructions and sized down by a half size, from an 8 (regular size) to a 7.5, and they were perfect. They can be worn with thin or thick socks. Construction: Beautifully constructed and gorgeous to look at. They are not too heavy. We don't get mountains of snow in Virginia, so these will be good for the fall, winter, and spring in my climate. The foot area has a light, cozy lining. Cons: The main negative is that they are not easy to put on and take off and require some fiddling with the laces to wedge your foot in. So, as a mom on the go, I will probably still be reaching more for my LL Bean Rubber Mocs, which is my most-worn shoe when it's not summer. Also, skinny jeans are not in style at the moment, so styling them will be a challenge.
