Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've loved this style for many years I have this Field Coat in dark Army olive, with a button in/out lining from decades ago. It's the same cut, which I love, and this Oyster Blue color is absolutely perfect! I wasn't shopping for a new field coat, but when I saw this, unlined, and a color I love, I grabbed it for the coming winter. I'm in central Texas and this unlined field coat is perfect for me. I still use my (very old) field coat with the Primaloft lining buttoned in, for chores on the property, firewood, running my dogs. But this new, unlined coat will take over for church, errands, etc. It will fit just fine with a sweater or other cozy top, and I'm really glad I have it in my closet now! I'm 5'2.5" and kind of chunky. I chose the Medium, Regular fit so I can turn the cuffs back when I want the pretty corduroy to show. Yah, this one is a keeper and I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing tailoring for a casual coat. Great coat. Finally got to wear it since the unseasonable heat broke. Nice cut, much more trim tailed than the last barn coat I That’s a great trim! It looks much more polished than the last barn coat. i wore that until it was unpresentable. The canvas is stiff but I am sure with laundering it will be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Love this barn jacket. It has all the "bells and whistles" you want in a jacket of this type. The corduroy collar and cuffs. As a bonus, the inner flap of the pockets are corduroy lined, too. Kudos to L.L. Bean for bringing this back in an unlined version. The color is fabulous, too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Much poorer quality material and fit compared to my old faithful barn coat from Bean's 30 years ago.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super cute, but workmanship seems shoddy Color and fit of this jacket are great. I bought it as a season transition jacket and don’t mind that it’s unlined. However, the quality of construction seems subpar for the brand and price point. Lots of errant threads at the seams, particularly the cuffs and button holes. Button holes also don’t feel fully sewn. A shame, since the design is great and I typically trust LL Bean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality There's no lining, none! The button holes are poorly made, really hard to button the coat. I was so disappointed, certainly not the quality I expect from LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice lightweight jacket Although this jacket doesn't really provide much warmth, it's a nice lightweight jacket appropriate for a cool (but not cold) day or evening. The color is gorgeous.
