Design Flaw
I’m really not sure why any designer would think it’s a good idea to have exposed rough elastic on each side of the pants waist? It’s a shame too because the material is probably the softest LL Bean has put out in 15 years.

Perfect fit. I am 5’ and 100 lbs. The fabric is beyond soft…and drapes elegantly. Pockets lie flat. Waist band is wide and smooth. I did have them shortened…they are so good it was worth the expense. I bought a second pair. Size XS.
