Best Hat I Ever Owned
I bought this hat just in time before all these extremely low temperatures hit the Mid-Atlantic. I can walk my dog in comfort on nights when it feels like 5 degrees with the wind chill factor. It actually fits my huge (female)head and it’s a size medium. So thankful for my hat.

Not for me
I wasn't sure if this would work for me and it didn't. Too small and bulky. I didn't go for a larger size because I knew I wouldn't be comfortable in it. It seems to be well made and not heavy. I returned it as it didn't suit my needs. It may work well for other uses.

Runs Very Small
I am a woman with short straight hair and purchased the Large. It was very tight. Also, it didn't come down far enough in the back and didn't cover as much of your face as the mad bomber hats that LL Bean sold many years ago. I was hoping to get another one but this one really fell short. Please LL Bean, make them like you did many years ago. Until then, I'll be wearing my old one to get through Maine winters.

Puffer Bomber Hat
Excellent fit, with the first really cold weather last week, the hat stood up to be counted. I was insulated from the 40 mph wind and the 18 degree weather. Really love this hat, could not ask for more.
