I bought this shirt but quickly sent it back because although the fabric and color ( indigo) were excellent it gaped in the front because the buttons were too far apart. I noticed my other Bean shirts have 7 buttons, this one has only 6 and it is definitely not enough. The shirt is pretty great other than the fact that it completely gapes between the buttons. I got a medium and it was plenty wide in fact almost too wide. It would be fine if you were going to wear it open over a tank or T-shirt but it just doesn't function well buttoned up. This is poor designing ~ I would have absolutely kept it if it had one more button and buttonhole.

Lovely shirt but heavy weight
I bought two and will probably keep only one. Purchased for spring but in my mid Atlantic and Vancouver BC climates, this is a winter shirt. Quality and good looking but will not work with the coordinating linen pant I purchased.

Not for Texas Summer
Lovely fabric, but too heavy for S. Texas most any time of the year! Not a flannel fabric, but of a similar weight. My normal size is medium petite, and this blouse was too large for me.

I purchased this shirt for myself and I couldn’t be happier. Quality cotton that’s easily layered under or over for the crazy Colorado weather. Every single LL Bean item I bought over 25 yrs is still in use buy myself or a member of my family. I always know a Bean product is worth the money.

Wonderful Cozy Weight
My closet has a good assortment of plaid and check flannel shirts which are ideal for our climate and my style. This twill is cozy without being heavy, a shoulder-season weight for Georgia, and even a summer topper when the A/C is overwhelming. Medium fits exactly as I’d expect from LLB, and the cuffs have two button choices to customize. Tighten the cuffs and voila’, sleeves are not too long. The color choices include a check, but I wouldn’t mind some nice solids, as well!
