This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

Beautiful and soft
I love my new shirt, and I am again impressed by the quality of L.L. Bean clothing. I'm very happy with the weight of the shirt because it's more substantial than some of my old shirts.
I am 5' 1", 165# and have a short body. I bought the Petite, Large and XL so I could compare the fit. The petite is perfect, and I decided on the Large.

Love the flannel
Excellent flannel shirts. I love the LL Bean flannel shirts, they are thick, block the wind and they will last a lifetime. I have multiple flannels a d i give them as gifts, the recipients always love to get them and comment on the excellent quality.

Poor quality
Really disappointed with the quality of the fabric of this shirt, in particular, and the overall poor quality of the texture, feel and cut, that is not aligned with the usual LL Bean quality I've experienced over the years.

Boyfriend LLB Scotch Plaid shirt a great addition
Love the Boyfriend Scotch Plaid Flannel shirt. I think it’s a little shorter than the relaxed shirts, which I also have. They are by no means a fitted shirt, though. These shirts last years, are cozy , keep their color , wash after wash- no one makes a better flannel shirt. Wish all the plaids LLB carries were available in the Boyfriend cut!
