Just right day pack, stowable personal item.
I looked everywhere for a day pack that would carry a fleece, snacks, lots of water, first aid kit etc for a planned hotel-to-hotel trek week with hikes up to 12 miles and lots of elevation. I also wanted to be able to use it as a personal item, but most packs now seem to have a semi-rigid foam back that doesn't allow a less than full pack to be shortened enough to meet our airline's requirements, not to mention heavily structured hip bands. This stowaway pack is totally flexible, and at 28 liters, big enough for the gear I needed to carry. In addition to a flexible back, it is super light, so doesn't add much to the weight to be carried. I was skeptical that it would hold up over the trip- the material is very light, and like most every pack, the water bottle pockets are very light mesh. It really worked out for my trip. No sign of wear and tear- granted, only 6 days of hiking, but really loaded up including a liter bottle in each pocket and another liter+ in the pack. Despite the lack of structure, it was very comfortable. Includes a light hip strap and chest strap, again, no padding/structure, but plenty to stabilize a day pack- no need for the bulked out straps and back boards. Very useful internal pocket and externally-accessible pocket. It also was my carry on personal item, and unstructured back and belt also means I can fold it up and pack in a suitcase if needed.

Good pockets
I enjoyed using this backpack during my two week trip across the U K. Was able to find things when I needed them.
