The zipper pocket is hard to close, and the front pockets are too shallow and fixed so pocket contents fall out when seated or lying.

Absolutely love them! They're soft, comfortable and after washing several times - no shrinkage! The length is perfect! I only wish that the women's sweat pants came in 34' inseams too so I wouldn't have to buy men's.

Why no fly?
Bean used to sell fleece sweatpants with a zippered fly. Now not one of the various fleece pants have flies. Clearly your ordering dept doesn't understand men's -- especially older men's -- needs

Poor substitute sweat pants
I ordered these pants on the basis of Bean's website's recommended replacement for a pair of Bean sweat pants (#516194) I've long worn and loved, but which Bean no longer offers. The older pants are 91%cotton and 9% polyester; the substitute pants are predominantly polyester, slick and lighter-weight and providing less warmth, along with an unnecessary looseness at the knees and an unattractive pattern on the surface. All in all, a much inferior product than the #516194 pants.
