Great, accept for one significant flaw.
While the shoes fit and wear well, the issue I find is with the ability to find new shoe laces that fit. The top holes in the shoe are so small, I could not find another set of shoe laces where the aglet would fit through. I tried 4 different shoe laces and none would fit. One of those were custom shoelaces purchased at the LL Bean store in Albany NY. In the end, I was forced to drill out the small aluminum plate that contained this top hole in order for me to fit a new shoelace aglet through it.
Since the shoe works and wears well in every other aspect, I rate these shoes 2 stars instead of just one. I find what appears to be a design issue very surprising, and hope that LL Bean reads this review and takes action because I have been a customer for over a decade and find their other offerings (shirts, coats, pants, etc.) of exceptional quality and would hope they would want to address this issue promptly. After all, they pride themselves on their boots (we even had their "Boot Mobile" parked at the opening of their local store).
