Well built with a solid feel
My initial thoughts: size ran a bit large so I returned them for a half-size smaller. Plenty of room in the toe box, but really stiff. They appear well built and have a solid feel. I will add to this review in a month to report how well they break in.

Great all-purpose shoe
This is a comfortable and sturdy shoe for winter wear. The color is dark and neutral so goes well with different pants. I would prefer a more uniform color rather than the faded look, but that's a small quibble.

Classic moccasins with sole for all seasons.
More than exactly what was wanted as the lug sole guarantees winter wear. The size is a perfect 10D…rare as hen’s teeth. Sure, more elegant and supple leathers exist, but at twice the price and more…and not with that lug sole. The cushioning and arch support are essential and spot on.
Whether with blue jeans or khaki’s, these moccasins are why Bean still gets my business after sixty-five odd years.

tiny problem with fit at ankle that is important
This model has only one set of holes around the ankle at front, so tightening the shoe around the ankle and instep is difficult. I found that one shoe would slip too much. The fit was otherwise fine. The previous version with 3 holes was better.
