Pockets small and not in the right place
I loved the color of this coat but not the location or size of the pockets. They are too high and not not big enough to keep hands warm. The length looks like it could be warm but it does not stay closed--just two snaps, no velcro--and when the wind is blowing it billows out and catches it around your knees.

Answer to Arctic Blast
Light but warmest coat I ever had. Have not felt a thing even in 0 degrees on a subway platform. Snow and sleet do not stick. Wind does not penetrate at all. Really does not need layers or heavy clothing underneath. Not even a scarf. Neck is completely coveredHood large but does not fall away - even when windy. Long length covers leg and does not flap around. The cut is generous and a graceful slight eyeliner. It doesn’t look like you are wearing your bed comforter. However, if big pockets are your thing, this would not be your top choice. Zipped pockets hold bare essentials.

Smart design, roomy and warm
Great shape, very roomy. I ordered a small where as I would normally go for medium but this fits perfectly. The zipper is strong and easy to use with minimal catching on the lining or outer fabric. I especially like the length and appreciate that the zipper doesn't go all the way to the bottom. An extra snap is available to close the coat further down past the zipper, which allows for more protection yet easy movement - a very smart design. There are two inside pockets - handy but I find them somewhat small and hard to easily find in a pinch (something I may get used to over time). The outside pockets could be deeper and are positioned higher than I prefer but they work just fine. overall the look, feel and usefulness of this coat are wonderful and I'd recommend it.

Thin but amazingly warm
I ordered this coat for it's warmth rating and reviews. But when it arrived in the mail, I was worried about how thin it was. I have been pleasantly surprised by how warm it keeps me in single digit weather! And, the days it reaches the 40s, I'm also not sweltering. It seems that no matter the temp, I'm perfectly comfortable.
