For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Good if you have a big gut
I made a big mistake. One shirt didn’t meet the free shipping requirement, so I bought two. A very nice shirt with a quality that matches LL Bean. Some of the other reviews say “true to size”. I guess I don’t know what large is anymore as I’d have to gain 30# around the middle if this was to fit me. I’m 5’10 and 170# and the belly of this shirt is too big for me by far. Shoulders are fine.
