Always Shrink!
I really like these turtlenecks for the heavier weight and usually order some every other year just to freshen up or get a new color. I wear them in the winter months when it is cold in Virginia with a Cuddleduds sleeveless v-neck undershirt underneath, and I am cozy. The only problem - and I guess it is pretty significant - is that they shrink even when you dry on "low" as directed. I buy a "Large" to compensate, which helps, but they still end up shrinking in the length. So I guess I settle to get a thicker turtleneck. I've been meaning to write a review about this for a long time...I guess today is the day. Why doesn't LL Bean pre-shrink? This issue shouldn't happen at LL Bean prices, wouldn't you agree?

Hefty weight turtleneck
Good hefty weight turtleneck! Always makes me feel snug and warm in this below freezing weather that we’ve had for the last week or so in Kentucky. I’m starting to replace my turtlenecks as the ones that I got years ago were made shorter than what they’ve been making in the last few years. I like the longer links.

The best tees ever
These tee shirts are the best. Necklines are perfect for me, and I like the slightly heavier fabric. They go really well under vests.
I haven’t had any problems with shrinkage, pilling or discoloration. I would give them ten stars if I could!

Tag on inside is not what it used to be
I have been buying these white turtlenecks since the 1960's. This year, I noticed that the tag on the inside is no longer silk-like and comfortable against the skin. No reason to remove. What is there now is a very itchy, uncomfortable tag against the skin. I cut it back and it still bothers me every time I wear these. I am folding over a layer when tucking into jeans so that the tag is not against my skin. VERY DISAPPOINTED BEANS! Please bring the old tag back.

beautiful color
I bought this in a color I would call turquoise. It is like a mid weight turtleneck...not thin, but not thick either. The sizing seems perfect as well and it does have some stretch in the fabric.

Still shrinking.
The material seems nice and I like the color. But it is shrinking with every wash! That is why I purchased a women’s large tall. (I usually wear a women’s medium regular. I started to order these shirts in the men’s size small as they are “unshrinkable”! But they lack pretty colors.
