Our classic casual coat is easy to move in and layer under. With little touches like inverted pleats and buttoned patch pockets it's no surprise this coat continues to be a customer favorite, year after year. Inspired by our iconic Field Coat (originally named Maine Duck Hunting Coat), first introduced in 1924.

I love this coat! I just received mine and the fit is perfect. The sleeve cuff is adjustable with two buttons and the corduroy trim on the end of the cuff looks neat when rolled back. The embroidery elevates this coat and gives the coat something special and different! The flannel lining gives it a warmth and weight for those chilly days and nights. This will definitely be the grab and go coat to complete any outfit and face any weather condition. I washed it turned inside out in cold water and on delicate cycle. I also hung it up dry. It came out beautiful!

Best barn coat
I saw the little embroidered ducks and knew I had to have this jacket, the perfect longer length, the flannel lining adds warmth without bulk and the outside canvas is heavy enough to block the wind on a windy fall day! I am usually a small but occasionally size up for room in LLBean particularly for outerwear due to sleeve length issues, however this jacket surprised me and did NOT have that issue, the small fits with plenty of room to have the sleeves cuffed and then some. Plenty of room for a cozy sweater underneath as well.
