Our founder, L.L., first introduced genuine handsewn mocs 100 years ago in 1926, and we've made them better than ever before. We added a more flexible insole and upgraded the foam underfoot for immediate comfort right out of the box. A new leather sock liner molds to your foot over time for custom comfort and a barefoot feel. And new, high-quality leathers that start out comfy and get better the more you wear them.

Boat shoes
Ive been looking for boat shoes on and off for while. Glad I found these. The style works well with my clothes and they are very comfortable. Note: if laces come undone, its very difficult to have the same appearance after you tie the laces again.

Better Quality Control
Actually, should probably be 3 1/2 stars … the good - like the darker brown color and textured leather … the not so good - poor quality control over shoes, in general ; there seems, consistently, to be workmanship issues; with many of the model “II” shoes the insoles aren’t glued in particularly well; with my current pair of shoes, it took trying 5 pairs before I got a pair that was “pretty good” (one of the shoe’s insoles wasn’t glued on real well and, that shoe had an ink pen mark that was quite visible).
