great material but very wide neckline + quite long
Unexpectedly based on the picture, the neckline is extremely wide across--impossible to wear any type of undergarment without the straps showing (I do not have particularly narrow shoulders). It's also longer than I expected. I would have kept it if it was only the length but the neckline made it a no-go.

Good top for hot weather
I first ordered a petite large of this item: it was HUGE. So I exchanged it for a regular medium, which fits well EXCEPT it's quite tight at the hips (mine are 41"). I hemmed it up 2" and it's fine now. It laundered just fine, including machine drying on low, coming out crinkly like linen is, but required no ironing. (That is, it's good quality linen.)

Be careful.
I had fit problems with these items. Bought two colors blue strip and pink. They really rock with other pieces I already own. So I kept them. Generously cut on top; very narrow across the middle. Took them to my seamstress. She is adding slits to the sides and shortening them for me (5 ft 0 inches tall).

I love Beans linen shirts, but unfortunately the arm openings in this style are so wide, I’d have to wear another shirt underneath it. Sadly returned.

Cute, casual, comfy
Bought the blue. I'm 5'3" and 127 pounds. The regular small fits me well. It's loose, but not sloppy. No stretch so went with regular rather than petite. Clean lines and well made. Looks nice with shorts and jeans. I plan to wear it spring, summer and fall and am ordering the other color too. Very happy with this purchase.

Awkward fit
The proportions of this seem off. It would be cute if it was slightly more cropped to hit just at the hip, but it’s too long, so the boxy shape just becomes frumpy. Close, but no cigar.
