Runs quite small
This item runs quite small. I am usually always a size 10. I bought the 10 and it was too small. I returned it and got a 12. The 12 fits but is not roomy at all.

Comfy, cute shorts
Well, I'm very small and have never worn anything above an XS or 2, for many decades! As long as you size up, these are perfect. As many reviews state, they were so hard to get above my thighs. Got them on and even the crotch area was short. There just wasn't enough stretch in waist band, or size is was off, don't know. I returned the 2 and received a 4. The 4 is almost too big, but drawstring makes it work perfect. I really love the little lobsters, and really nice blue and soft. It was worth the wait for the easy exchange. For reference, I'm 5'5" and 114 lbs and ended up w/ a 4. Size up and enjoy!!

Adorable but SMALL
These are so cute and excellent quality, but odd sizing. In the regular, I bought a 16 and 18 but would likely need a 20 (which they don't make). And in the plus size, I bought an 18W and they are huge. So I would likely need a 16W, which they also don't make. Why the limited size run??? So if you're in that sweet spot, you may be out of luck.

Great LL Bean shorts
Just wore these shorts. Good fit, elastic waist, didn’t wrinkle after sitting for hours.
