[00:00:00.44] Many of our product developers are parents too, so they know that kids grow fast. That's why we've added hidden Grow Cuffs to our Cold Buster Snow Bibs and snowsuits for infants and toddlers. These pieces are designed with an extra 1.5 inches of fabric, hidden in the sleeves and pant legs. Just pull away the seams to expand the cuffs.

[00:00:20.64] Here's how. Step 1. Start by turning the pant leg or sleeve inside out.

[00:00:43.44] Step 3. Finally, pull the white thread to let out the hem. We like to make sure these grow cuffs are sewn in nice and tight, so it may take a few cuts to get the thread going.

[00:00:56.92] And that's it. Now that we've snipped away that string and let out the fabric, we've made this piece a little bit longer, which means your kids can stay in it a little bit longer. Many of our product developers are parents too, so they know that kids grow FAST! That’s why we added hidden “grow cuffs” to our Cold Buster snow bibs and snowsuits for infants and toddlers. These innovative cuffs can easily be lengthened to accommodate sudden growth spurts—so when little ones grow, their outerwear can “grow” too. And when kids can wear snow bibs longer, parents can replace them less, making them an even better value than before.

“I like that the cuffs can be made longer by removing a built-in hem. Worth the money for sure!”

How Do I Extend the Grow Cuffs?

Cold Buster snow bibs and snowsuits are designed with an extra one-and-a-half inches of fabric hidden in the sleeves and pant legs – just pull away seams to expand the cuffs. Here’s how:

Two hands hold the rolled-up sleeve of a blue and teal jacket against a plain gray background.

1. Start by turning the garment inside out.

Hands use small scissors to cut a thread on the cuff of a blue and navy jacket sleeve

2. Then, carefully cut the red thread using small scissors or a seam ripper, taking care not to cut the surrounding material.

3. Finally, pull the white thread to let out the hem.

“Grow cuffs for the win! We bought it a little bit big (2T) and now thanks to the grow cuffs our 4T kid can still wear it! Magic.”
