Great jacket
Thinking I would be traveling abroad in January I ended up not going. I bought this jacket thinking it would be pack able and it is. But I have been wearing it when jogging in fairly cold weather and it is very comfortable. All and all I give it high marks!

Ultralight Warmth That Works
Super impressed with the L.L.Bean PrimaLoft Packaway Jacket. I bought it specifically for the NASA-developed aerogel insulation and it delivered: excellent wind protection and warmth for how thin and light it is. I took it to London in cold, windy weather and it performed far better than I expected.
It also packs down really small and weighs so little you don’t notice it in a bag. I haven’t tested it in heavy rain, but light rain was absolutely fine.
Bonus: I prefer this to down -- it packs better and doesn’t come with the same “wash-and-degrade” downside. And the M-Long sizing is spot on for tall/athletic builds (regular M is often too short for me).
One more thing I really like: it looks clean and elegant, so it works just as well in the city as it does outdoors.

My husband lives his new coat. It fits great and is lightweight for our SC winter plus it packs incredibly well. Extra bonus for him- Chicago Bears colors!

Not that Puffy
Not nearly as "puffy" as the product photos make it look. Very thin and flat. But seems well-constructed otherwise. Don't know yet how water-proof it is. I'm not sending it back but I thought about it. It's a "fall" cool-weather jacket - not a winter cold-weather jacket.

Faulty stitching
Bought this jacket and went to wear it out For the first time, there was a thread hanging and the jacket had a rip in it. The woman at the store didn’t seem to believe it was a manufacturer error and insisted I snagged it on Something, I didn’t. She have the refund regardless but I can’t say I would buy another one
