I wanted a white (not a puffer) vest for some additional warmth. Really like the vest, I just wish the logo wasnt so prominently placed on the chest area. Other than that its exactly what I was looking for.

Comparing the Prior Model Primaloft Vest
Primaloft vests are a wardrobe staple for me. I ordered this vest in the white (sea salt), a good basic color. Ignoring the brand logo which is a bit too prominent, I loved the color. The fit was shorter than the prior model style and layered well under a winter jacket. What I didn't like was the collar. The fabric on the inside of the collar wasn't soft. It was stiff and felt "crinkly." It made the collar uncomfortable when worn with a tee. It looked nice but with a vest, comfort is important. I found myself reaching for my old vests, old style, not wearing the new vest. The fabric used for the inside collar is like an exterior outerwear fabric, not a lining fabric. This was a poor design change.

Flattering and Comfy!
I love a vest for my daily walks, hikes and casual wear. I have several but this is my favorite. It is lightweight and not puffy like many vests. I like that it’s packable so I can easily carry it in my pack. The new version seems ever so slightly more fitted, but I still wear my usual size. I appreciate that the contrasting zippers have gone away because they made it hard to coordinate with my clothing. Love the solid navy!
