We've improved our most popular extra-large rolling duffle, loved since 1996 for its durability, fun colors and great price. Now made of 100% recycled fabrics, with a new U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access and an innovative folding design.
Introducing our best-ever Rolling Adventure Duffle, redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's 100% recycled--and just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening and a new folding design we created by customer request, making it easier to stow away when you're not using it. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles; this 135L bag uses 52 plastic bottles.
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- 100% recycled 600-denier polyester on body, with 100% recycled 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- Spot clean.
- New U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Roomy main compartment.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points and one rigid handle that helps stabilize bag.

Now have six of these
I first bought two of these in 2011 for a job in Afghanistan. During my year there, I traveled to and from Florida with them four times. In 2014, my family moved to Eastern Europe, and we then started taking annual trips with these back to Florida. I was so pleased with the ruggedness and capacity that four years ago I bought two more for my daughter to take to college back in Florida. Then, in the last year, bought two more for my son who will be going back to the U.S. to join the Marine Corps this summer.
These bags have been stuffed to the weight limit and have been "handled" by countless baggage handlers while traveling to and from military bases in Afghanistan and then Eastern Europe. They are still going strong.
I also thank L.L. Bean for taking customer comments into account by going back to a more subtle L.L. Bean logo on these bags.

Large!
Have taken one trip with this bag. It holds a lot! Only minor complaint is the bar inside the bag that it allows to stand up is very difficult to put in place. Maybe the Velcro fastener is just a little out is place?

Interior frame support bar tears the bag
Well balanced and roomy. Have used these rolling duffles for decades. This is my first with the revised boxy design including an interior frame bar that is to be raised when using the bag. The frame bar holds the bag’s sides and top in an upright boxy shape. First time I used this as checked luggage, the inner frame bar tore a hole in the bag. If you buy this, do not raise the frame bar, leave it in the bottom of the bag or remove it.

Great bag
Bought last summer and couldn’t use it but went to Florida for a month this year and love it,I have had 4 spine surgeries and it works great, seems to be durable and can’t wait to use when I go to Michigan this summer and out west this fall. My daughter bought me the travel -bathroom carrier to match color and love it also

It broke!
It broke before I even got off the plane. The arm is you use to pull it is held on by two little screws. It broke immediately and I couldn’t use it. Poor quality.

Big and easy
It's big. It has wheels so it is ease to transport. It doesn't add much weight of its own. Smart looking too with a number of bright colors to choose from.
