Product Details
Our most popular extra-large rolling duffle, loved since 1996 for its durability, fun colors and great price. Made of rugged, water-resistant fabrics, with a U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access and an innovative folding design.
Our best-ever Rolling Adventure Duffle, recently redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening and a folding design we created by customer request, making it easier to stow away when you're not using it. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- 600-denier polyester on body, with 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Spot clean.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- Roomy main compartment.
- U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points and one rigid handle that helps stabilize bag.
- Features small L.L.Bean logo on either side of bag.
- Outside zip pocket.
- Handles have wrap closure for comfortable carrying.
- Compression straps with side-release buckles help stabilize contents.
- Internal kickstand lets duffle stand upright for travel, then collapse for storage.

Great Gifts!
We’ve purchased a set of rolling duffles (M,XL), a Regular M duffle and XL toiletry bag for each of our nieces and nephews for gifts. They get used for overnight trips, summer camps, vacations, etc. and they love them!

still a good product
First, I can confirm the new XL duffle size matches the old LARGE duffle size (and the old XL is the new XXL). It would have been helpful if the LL Bean website has been clear on this point, so I had to measure in store. Overall, I really liked most of the new design features. I didn't think there was a point to the stand-on-end feature, but then found I was using it constantly and it stayed upright. I also much prefer the new square top opening to the old giant zipper across the top. I'm a little concerned about how the corners of the stand-upright end of the duffle will stand up to wear and tear, their rigidity leaves them vulnerable to rough airport handling, but it held up the first trip =). Overall, a LL Bean duffle remains the best large suitcase available - easy to pack, held a lot, easy to move!

Smart buy and fit the bill
We’ve taken these on two summer trips. One sailing and one on a cruise. The two of us had these medium folding duffles w wheels, a carry on and personal item. The large would be so heavy it would be difficult to lift and could be over weight. Well made and durable. It carried a lot more than expected due to expanding characteristic of the canvas. Adding contrasting initials was a nice touch!
