Great but…
Been wearing Rivertons for years. LOVED the phone pocket on the right thigh. One of the main reasons I got these. BUT, why change the pocket to the left/rear thigh??? Dumb
Also, the front belt loops are too close together.

Such potential but falls quite short
I love the lining. Big fan of the color. The exterior fabric also a thumbs up. Two fatal flaws though in my book. First the front pockets - I can’t quite explain why but they are very difficult to get into, the fit is super tight in that one spot and the inside seam scratches my hand in dry winter weather, you know exactly when I’d be wearing lined pants. Final issue, like some other Beans pants I’ve owned, the zipper is about an inch too short. Like whoever designed these never wore them into a rest/wash/bathroom. If you are accustomed to a full unbelt, unbutton, unzip routine to recycle liquids then have at these but if you are a out the hatch guy, nope, you can wear them as long as possible on your hips, will still be an issue.

I agree with other reviews that these sit a little too low on the waist. The button broke while wearing the second time. Otherwise I like the fabric and weight.

Lined Pants
Lined pants are a luxury not needed in Florida, unless you are old and cold; even then probably not. The lining in these pants is not that warm and the fit provide for a big butt. They will make good sleeping when the weather finally gets cold but they hang too low to wear out of the house.

Riverton Pants...NOT. Redesign disappoints.
The bonded fleece lining is very comfortable, great for cool days. The new Riverton design is pretty bad. Anyone who enjoys their original Rivertons, like me, will likely be disappointed. Rear pocket flaps are gone and replaced with two patch pockets with the right one having a zippered pocket sewn behind it. The right-leg phone pocket is moved to the left leg with an angled-opening pocket that's not big enough to hold my S25 phone with case. The fit feels lower, like a pair of low-rise jeans. I'd love to see these pants re-named for those who like them and the old Riverton design to come back for its many fans.
