Rated 3 out of 5 by AndronicusRex from Features miss the mark My wife purchased this pack, and I borrowed it for 10 days of bicycle camping. I packed very lightly. It carried 1 change of clothes & a sweatshirt, bath kit, sandals, charging block, power bank & cables. It was plenty big enough for that w/ room left for a meal’s worth of groceries. When I needed to wear it as a pack, it was comfortable. really appreciated is that 25% of the bag isn’t given over to carrying a laptop. I had to send back the 30l pack I bought for the trip because the laptop storage overwhelmed the rest of the bag. Does every bag in this segment have to be made for carrying laptops? These are sold for day, hiking and short camping trips. Is everyone taking their laptop on short camping trips? Couldn’t the line include accessory laptop pockets to purchase in addition to the bag? Another good thing are two smaller, zippered pockets towards the top of the bag, one outside and one in. Both very easy to get to and very useful. The front pocket ostensibly cinches with fastex buckles, but anything will fall out if it at any time, the buckles are frustratingly small and when buckled, they get in the Way of the main compartment zippers on both side sides. IMHO, It’s just lazy stupid to put a pocket like this on a bag. The bottle pockets are great if you like picking your bottle up off the ground. They’re so tight to the bag, that things in the main compartment of the bag push and displace bottles upward, making them more likely to fall out of the pocket. The top of the pockets have no way of cinching around the bottles. Again, lazy attention to detail. Finally, the backpack straps, Chest strap and waist straps have no way of being stored. A zipper cover is a nice feature, but there must be some design for stowing the straps without going to that extent. If you just count paragraphs, it would seem I like the bag more than I dislike it. Unfortunately, the last three items are deal killers, and really, would’ve been so easy to design better.
