Great fit and fabric, useless rear pockets!
These pants fit as advertised. 40 W x 32 L. Fabric is a just right combination of sturdy and a slight amount of stretch. Good fit and very comfortable. Nice side pockets and change pocket. All good until I tried to put my wallet in the back pocket. The rear pockets are wide but shallow in depth. Not sufficient for a wallet or for a cell phone to be secure...pickpockets will be delighted with these pants, but I'm not.

Great pants, but shallow rear pockets
These are great pants with a fatal flaw. The rear pockets aren’t very deep and don’t have buttons. So, if you’re like me and always put your billfold in the rear pockets it just doesn’t work. This is very unfortunate because the fabric, fit, and buttons for adjusting the waist are excellent. If Bean would fix this issue I’d buy several more pair of these pants! They probably won’t : (

Not bad, just not for me
Honestly, I don't love these. The legs look very baggy on me, and the outseam is flat felled (like jeans) so it would not be easy to alter them with a quick sewing machine pass like it is with most chinos. But aside from that, they seem very nice.

I like this pant, but what’s with the back pockets
I like the material, “standard” fit, and adjustable waist. It’s a great product EXCEPT for the rear packets. I like to keep my billfold there, but these pockets are too shallow and without a button for fastening. Why??? Please fix this and I’ll buy several pair more!
