No no no....Removed the Phone pocket?????
These are my standard daily wear. Perfect for the office, straight to the trail, and straight out to dinner or meetings or meetups in the evenings. I have 4 pairs, and JUST replaced the khaki since I wore them out and the new ones have NO PHONE POCKET. I mean, this was probably 75% of the appeal of these pants. Instantly went from my favorite to just another pair of pants, and I am now searching for a comparable replacement. Why did you mess with such a perfect pair of pants?????

Riverton's discontinued the phone pocket.
Where is the phone pocket? I never knew how much I needed a phone pocket until my Riverton pants had one. I love Riverton pants for the great fit but no phone pocket is a deal breaker. I will look elsewhere for comfortable pants with a phone pocket.

Bring back the thigh pocket
I loved the old design, especially the thigh (i.e., phone) pocket. I have gone through 5-6 pairs. The new design is a big step backwards for me and no longer fits my needs.

Riverton- Men’s Pants Disappointed
The pant is a let down from the previous version. The fabric is sub par, and the design is nothing like the pants I bought just two years ago. Who ever changed this design was most certainly NOT wearing them on a regular basis. I have 4 pair of the original design, and I wear them every day. The last pair that I bought barely gets worn, because I love the old ones so much. The new design has no pockets like the old design. I would pass on this, if you have worn the Riverton Pant from a few years back. They were true to size, but an inferior LLBean product, to say the least.

If i could give less than 1 star I would
I bought a new pair a year ago to test them out and they haven't held up as well as the originals unfortunately. I have to deal with the new pocket configuration and find myself reaching for the old thigh pocket constantly. Having the zipper pocket in the back in front of another pocket is absolutely useless; put it back on the left thigh. It was almost torture putting my hands in my pockets until the triple stitch on the regular pockets wore down. The left pocket on the new pair is so thin that my flashlight clip and permanent marker wore a hole in it after two months of daily use. The only redeeming quality of the redesign is that they fixed the gusset crotch; It was a fail point that I was constantly sewing back together on the originals but has held up well. I don't mind paying $90.00 for a pari pants, I just expect that i'm getting a quality product. Alas, LL. Bean will not listen to its audience. I will still wear, and repair, my original L.L Bean products that i've had for 30 years. It's unfortunate that a company I have worn, loved, and held memories with, has lost my faith in their quality.

Bring back the real/original Riverton pants.
I had bought and really liked Riverton pants for years. The updated”Rivertons” are not, as far as I’m concerned, Rivertons. They are someone’s regrettable idea of, what, an improvement? Don’t think so. Bring back the real Rivertons.
