Great features and comfort, wore out too fast
My middle school son loves this backpack. It is big enough to carry everything around since his school no longer uses the lockers, and there are plenty of compartments to keep things organized. However, after 14 months of use, the straps began to fray and ultimately tear at the shoulder. I'm off to the shoe repair shop to see if they can sew them back. If not, we will be looking for a new bag, and even though everything else is perfect about this bag, we will look elsewhere for a bag that lasts longer.

Not a good product
The bag has potential to be good, but it's poorly made. I had two of them. On my first trip, the right strap started to unravel. LLBean replaced it. But, after continued use, more problems arose. The different compartments aren't sewn into the structure of the bag. For example, the top front pouch isn't sewn into the front flap, so it impedes into the middle section. This makes for dead zones that can't be seen. My keys, my locker lock, my swim goggles, and other things frequently seem lost because I can't easily see them. It makes for a lot of digging around. Had the bag been made with "old school" LLBean quality, it could have been a win. I just bought a new, not LLBean, backpack to replace it.

A great back pack, large and light. I returned due to the huge showy Bean logo, not cool, reduce size and mute logo colors.
I have also returned the the new duffle bags and clothing , LLB, please tame your ego
