Waterproof!
I have had these for a few months now. I tried on several pairs of hiking boots once my last pair died and of course were discontinued. I had never made a purchase for myself from L.L.Bean previously. But after trying 5+ other pairs I ordered these in the orange because it was on sale. I wasn't particularly fond of the color at first, however, other people love it! I get lots of compliments on them. I have several foot issues, weak ankles, etc. I wear these with custom inserts, hiking liners and a thick pair of wool socks. I have worn them on several hikes and walks, many in the rain. I also recently wore them tide pooling. My feet stayed completely dry. I like the lightness of the boot, when compared to others, the shoestring lock so they are easy to tighten, how grippy they are, and the fact they are actually waterproof.

This boot is comfortable, sturdy and light weight. I love that it's waterproof and the style is attractive. Reasonably good ankle support. Good price.

Perfect
Size fit perfect I always wear a 7.5. Very comfortable. I tried them on a very cold day I wore with winter boot socks. Feet were very warm while walking my dog.

Winter hiking freedom!
I bought a pair of these in an off color that were on sale. Knowing now what I didn’t know then, I’d gladly pay the full price. These are truly waterproof and so comfortable. Although I actually like the color I have now I might just buy another pair to have for when these inevitably get discontinued.

I tried but couldn’t do it
I saw these and thought they would have a lot of cushion for a lot of walking. It is hard plastic and the inserts are super thin no cushion at all and no arch support. I tried them for 2 days and had to stop wearing them my feet hurt so much. I have bought Columbia and Ariat and they were fine. These are so hard I was so disappointed. The size was true to size.

Great support
I put in a lot of miles walking dogs at the local animal shelter over all types of terrain. Last spring I developed tendonitis in one foot. Went to PT and got a pair of these boots. They are great and no problems with the tendonitis coming back.
