Fell apart after light use
The black sole started to separate (at the heel) from the white shock-absorbing middle layer. I wore them lightly before this happened.

A good general-purpose sneaker
It's hard letting go of old shoes because they fit so well and feel like old friends. But everything wears out eventually and I found that I really needed replacement sneakers. Always trusting L.L.Bean quality, I selected this pair without much shopping around. They are just what I needed. They're sporty-looking, comfortable and fit perfectly. Sure, they still feel new, but they're gradually taking on my specific contours and stride. I know I'll be wearing them for a long time as I wear them for walking, cycling and working around the house and lawn.
