Great for winter
These socks are wonderful. I actually get a pair of these each year for my husband for Christmas. Well made and just the right thickness for VT winters. Combination of Marino wool makes them quite comfortable.

Loss of quality, durability, and “ragg wool-ness”
These staples used to be heavy, durable, thick wool socks. Now they feel more likes stretchy, disposable athletic socks. The heels don’t hold up well, they are quite low-rise, and they shrink. I’m sure the profit margin has skyrocketed inversely to the plummet in quality, but please bring back actual wool ragg socks. These aren’t those.
